Who we are

We are Glaspex. The Apex of Glass Engineering.

Our Story Glaspex was born from:

  • 50 years of combined international experience

  • A long-standing friendship between Mathieu & Guillaume

  • In 2024, a professional connection brought Mathieu and Marilyn together on joint projects, propelling their innovation in the glazing industry.

  • Shared ideas about how projects could be done better and faster

  • Joint missions of “industrializing engineering.”

Our Philosophy We don't just provide calculations; we offer you peace of mind. We believe that engineering should be accessible, transparent, and educational. Whether it's a simple storefront or a complex, curved, and sloped glass facade requiring nonlinear finite element analysis, we approach every project with the same passion and rigor.

Serious Engineering. Humble Roots.

Who We Are Glaspex is a specialized team of engineers and creatives dedicated to the structural glass and building envelope industry. Our human-scale structure allows us to be agile, responsive, and fully invested in your success.

What We Do We navigate the complex world of glazing and facades to simplify the task for you. From preliminary verification to the design of sophisticated systems, we put 50 years of combined experience at your service. Our goal: to make your business safer and more autonomous from the quotation stage onwards.

Why We Are Different

We Are Knowledge Obsessed We constantly update our knowledge of international standards and specific techniques such as nonlinear finite element analysis.

We Are Educators We don't keep information to ourselves. We share our expertise through webinars, training courses, and tools, because a smarter industry is a safer industry.

We Are Change Agents We are done with traditional methods. We are committed to removing gray areas. We use data and customized software to optimize projects, enabling stakeholders to achieve significant time and cost savings. We move through life with purpose, questioning not just how things work, but why they should work that way at all.

The team

Mathieu Audet

P.Eng (ON, QC, NB) | President & Co-founder

The Knowledge Pillar

After studying science and engineering, Mathieu began his career as a project manager at a glazing company. He has never stopped satisfying his curiosity. Always with a book in hand, he continues to explore, learn, and deepen his knowledge far beyond his initial training. This is what led him, after eight years of project management experience, to co-found his first engineering firm specializing in structural glass and aluminum in 2016. Today, as president, co-founder, and technical pillar of Glaspex, he holds engineering licenses in three Canadian provinces and is truly dedicated to sharing his knowledge and industrializing glazing engineering.

The Engine

With a bachelor's degree in construction engineering, specializing in project management, and a diploma in architectural technology, she has a diverse range of experience. She worked for 10 years at a glazing company as a project manager before expanding her career in the field of engineering. Having worked in estimation, plan design, production, site supervision, professional meetings, and project and team management, she has a keen understanding of her clients' needs. The technical solutions she offers them are tailored and based on both practical and strategic expertise.

Guillaume Tremblay

Senior Technician | Technology, Innovation & Programming

The Renaissance Man

With over twenty years of experience combining surgical precision and cutting-edge technology, Guillaume brings a unique vision to Glaspex. Trained among the elite of European haute couture curtain walls, it was in Switzerland that he had the opportunity to take his technical rigor to an exceptional level. Returning to Canada in the late 2000s, he combined his expertise in technical drawing and his in-depth knowledge of complex curtain wall systems with his passion for data science, programming, and automation. Today, he is, in a sense, the invisible architect of the digital ecosystems that are propelling Glaspex toward its ultimate goal of industrializing engineering.

We are proud of our valued collaborators

Glaspex is honored to partner with such a specialized firm, recognized for its in-depth understanding of the energy performance of building envelope systems in North America. Veridis is our go-to resource when we encounter complex technical issues that go beyond our own expertise in the thermal performance of building envelope systems.

Glaspex is fortunate to be able to rely on such an inventive entity, whose reputation for unfailing technical rigor is well established. They are always there when we need 3D drawings, highly complex parametric assemblies, finite element analysis, or simply to challenge us to think outside the box when we have ideas for process improvements, among other things.
